and harmonious for everyone.
1. Parking Lot Safety & Regulations
-
Speed Limits & General Safety
- Drive Slow: We share our parking lot with neighboring businesses. Drive with extreme caution and at a low speed.
-
Pedestrian Awareness: Be highly mindful of children, families, and students walking to and from their cars, especially during peak afternoon and evening class transitions. Always stay alert on foot.
-
Facility Hours & Security Measures
To ensure the safety of our community and the security of our facility, please note our official office hours and adhere to the corresponding entry and exit procedures:
-
Entering & Exiting During Office Hours: Please use the main front entrance for all arrivals and departures during the scheduled hours listed above.
-
After-Hours Security (Post-8pm Rules): Regardless of daily office hours, the parking lot doors and front gates are locked promptly at 8pm every night to secure the perimeter. If your class, studio rental, or departure takes place after this time, follow these security protocols:
-
Exiting after 8pm: All students and studio users must exit the facility exclusively via the back door.
-
Arriving late (after 8pm): If you are arriving late for a scheduled evening class or studio rental after 8pm, you may only enter through the back door.
-
Authorized Use Only: Entering the parking lot or facility after 8pm is strictly permitted only for attending your scheduled class or rental. Accessing the facility for any other reason during these hours is strictly prohibited.
-
-
-
Designated Parking Zones & Garage Access
- Neighboring Businesses: Only park in designated ATUS spaces. Do not park in spaces reserved for our neighboring business partners.
- Loading/Unloading Equipment: If you are bringing equipment through the back, you may park temporarily in front of our white garage. You must immediately re-park your vehicle in a standard space once equipment movement is complete to keep the garage area clear.
-
No Practice in the Lot: Practicing with taiko, bachi, or any other instruments in the parking lot is strictly prohibited.
-
New Neighbor Parking Restrictions (Effective June 2026)
- We have a new business neighbor securing parking spaces for their employees. Please strictly adhere to the following rules based on the visual reference maps provided in studio communications:
|
Timeframe |
Rule & Restrictions |
|---|---|
|
Weekdays BEFORE 5:30 PM |
STRICTLY NO PARKING along the neighboring business's building. These spots are reserved exclusively for their staff. |
|
Youth Parents (Before 5:30 PM) |
No waiting or lingering in the shaded area along the neighbor's building. Quick drop-offs are permitted, but long-term parking or waiting must be avoided completely. |
|
Weekends & Weekdays AFTER 5:30 PM |
Parking along the neighboring building is permitted for ATUS/LATI users. |

2. Studio Usage & Etiquette Rules
-
Instrument Boundaries
- All instruments must be played strictly inside the designated studio space.
- Do not play or practice with instruments in the hallway spaces or the parking lot. This minimizes disruption to neighboring businesses and other studio users.
-
Pest Control & Food Waste Disposal
- Take Food Waste With You: To prevent pest issues, do not dispose of food-related trash (perishables, fruit/vegetable waste, leftovers) inside the studio trash bins.
- All organic or perishable food waste must be packed up and taken out of the facility with you when you leave.
-
Electrical Equipment Policies
- Higher-powered external items (such as production lights, external amplifiers, etc.) strain our studio electrical systems and can cause safety hazards, such as blown fuses or popped bulbs.
- Mandatory Notification: You must notify ATUS staff in advance if you plan to bring and plug in any external electrical equipment not permanently provided by our studios.
3. Studio Equipment & Specialty Instrument Care
To preserve our premium instruments in top-tier performance condition, please strictly follow the specialized guidelines below for our katsugi-style additions:
-
Reirou (1.15 Shaku): High-pitched katsugi taiko. Designed for shoulder-carry style only.
-
Taiga (1.8 Shaku): Deep, low-tone katsugi taiko. Designed for shoulder-carry style only.
-
Katsugi Okedo (1.6 Shaku): Premium horsehide drum producing clear, articulate tones. Designed for shoulder-carry style only.
Always refer to the printed wall attachments in the studio for specific approved bachi weights and handling protocols for these specialty drums. Do not use unapproved heavy bachi on horsehide or katsugi-specific drums.
