Description
- Atarigane is a small, saucer-shaped gong used in traditional Japanese music, especially in taiko ensembles and folk music. The atarigane is typically held in one hand and struck with a mallet, producing a bright, ringing sound.
- Learn fundamental techniques, including how to hold and strike the instrument, along with exercises designed to improve timing, control, and overall technique
- Recommended for students to bring but not required to own an atarigane/mallet(shumoku) to register for this course; some will be shared and provided in class.
