Description
Pre-requisite: any previous taiko experience!
In this workshop we’ll learn different techniques for how to play on multiple drums, sometimes called a “pod” or a “set.” I’ll show you how techniques done on a single drum can be modified for more! This workshop will generally focus on getting you solid while playing on two drums in order to really understand the concepts of set drum playing, but you never know when other drums might get added in!

Drills are expanded on and skills are pushed with lots of hands-on time to practice the skills being taught. And if there’s interest, we may even cover the basics of soloing on multiple drums! You’ll leave this workshop with a large toolbox of techniques and drills that you can use right away!
